We Belong Here x Humanity Cares Virginia Key Silent Disco Beach Cleanup

On Saturday, March 7 at 3:00 PM, we’re bringing together music, movement, and conservation as we gather in community to care for one of Miami’s most historic shorelines. This experience blends purpose with celebration as we celebrate We Belong Here's 5th Anniversary—transforming collective action into something powerful, immersive, and unforgettable.

This is more than a cleanup. It’s a moment to reconnect—with the ocean, with each other, and with the impact we can create together.

What to expect:

A guided silent disco beach cleanup set to a live DJ (DJ to be announced)

All cleanup supplies provided, including buckets, pickers, and gloves

A collective trash weigh-in to measure the impact we create together

Community connection with fellow ocean lovers, music lovers, and changemakers

Location: Historic Virginia Key Beach Park – Miami, FL
Time: Arrival at 3:00 PM
Cost: Free with RSVP (limited capacity)

Please bring water, sunscreen, and comfortable clothing. Closed-toe shoes are recommended for safety and protection.

Together, we’ll turn rhythm into restoration and leave this shoreline better than we found it.

The WaveWay Foundation exists to inspire a global community that loves, respects, and protects the ocean. Our mission is to raise awareness about the devastating impact of plastic pollution through powerful, community-driven experiences — from beach cleanups and educational activations to music-infused events that make environmental action feel exciting and accessible. We believe ocean conservation isn’t just a cause — it’s a culture. By blending purpose with connection, we’re building a movement where anyone can make a difference, one wave at a time. Whether you’re a lifelong water lover or just learning about the problem, there’s a place for you here. 💙 We’re not just picking up trash — we’re making waves, not waste.
