Join Miami Waterkeeper for a hands-on cleanup at David T. Kennedy Park in Coconut Grove and help protect our local waterways! Microplastics—plastic fragments smaller than 5mm—pose a serious threat to marine ecosystems and wildlife. This is your chance to make a real, visible difference in your community while learning about the environmental impact of these harmful pollutants.
Event Details:
- Time: 9:30AM-11:30 AM (check-in opens 30 minutes prior)
- Location: David T. Kennedy Park, 2400 S Bayshore Dr, Miami, FL 33133
- What to Bring:
- Refillable water bottle
- REQUIRED: Closed-toe shoes
- RECOMMENDED: Long-sleeved shirts and pants (that can get wet), hat, towel, sunblock, and insect repellent, personal gloves (Miami Waterkeeper will provide gloves if needed).
Community service hours available for participants.
