Juneteenth Beach Bash Coastal Cleanup

Historic Virginia Key Beach Park’s 3rd Annual Juneteenth Beach Bash is a community-centered, family-friendly event celebrates Juneteenth and commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. The event also highlights the rich cultural contributions of Afro-descendant communities that shape Miami’s history and diversity.

This year, we will host a coastal cleanup from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM to kick off the event. Afterwards, participants are welcome to stay and enjoy food, games, music, and other community-themed activities until 4:00 PM. We will have on-site food vendors selling food to participants.

What Should Volunteers Bring?

  • Closed Toed Shoes
  • Hat & Sunglasses
  • Insect Repellent
  • Sunscreen
  • Water In Reusable Bottle

What Will Be Provided?

  • Garbage Bags
  • Gloves
  • Water Refills

Parking Information

Be sure to mention that you're here for the Juneteenth Beach Clean at the front gate to have your parking fee waived. Volunteer parking fee will be waived until 12 pm, after that there will be a $10 vechile entry fee.
