Surfrider Foundation Paddle Clean Up at Oleta River State Park

Come join Surfrider Foundation at Oleta River State Park for a paddle clean up and waterfront picnic.

We will paddle the beautiful waters of Biscayne Bay and remove debris and microplastics from the shoreline and mangroves. Bring your paddleboard or kayak, PFD/life vest, reusable water container, water shoes, sunscreen (reef safe), and hat.

What Will Be Provided?

  • Garbage Bags
  • Gloves

Parking Information

Park opens at 8:00 am. There is an entrance fee of $4 for single occupant vehicle, $6 for 2-8 people vehicle. Bring your paddleboard or kayak, PFD/life vest, reusable water container, water shoes, sunscreen (reef safe), hat, and a trash grabber if you prefer to use one. Buckets and mesh bags will be provided. Arrive by 9:30 am for pre clean up meeting and then we will launch at 10:00am. After the clean up, we will gather Pavilion (TBD) for a chill picnic to share stories and connect with Surfrider’s mission. Bring your re-usable cup for the plastic-free picnic that will run from 12 noon - 2 pm. The Chapter will provide food & refreshments. RSVPs are important so we can plan supplies. Feel free to stay later and enjoy the park, Bay and trails. FREE to current Surfrider members. Minimum $10 donation for non-members includes a Surfrider membership. 
 

Meeting Spot Details

We will meet at parking lot #6 by the Personnel Vessel Launch.
