Padle For Plastic

Padle For Plastic

Not all heroes wear capes. Some carry paddles.

As part of Surfside’s Paddletopia Weekend, this is your chance to turn a day on the water into something that truly matters.

On Sunday, May 17, we’re turning the canals into a playground for action, fun, and impact — and you’re part of it!

Paddle For Plastic

🗓️ Sunday, May 17
🕚 10am – 2pm
📍 96th Street Park, Surfside, FL

Part paddle event, part environmental action.

Launch from 96th Street Park on a kayak, paddleboard, or any floating ride, and set out through the canals on a plastic fishing journey. Along the way, you’ll “fish” for floating plastics and stop at three Plastic Fisherman stations to trade your catch for rewards — from t-shirts to recycled plastic keychains to well-earned popsicles.

Every piece you collect helps protect our waterways and becomes part of something bigger, transformed into new products in the Plastic Fisherman workshop.

We bring the buckets, the nets, and energy.
You bring your crew, your kayak, paddleboard, or SUP, and your sense of adventure.

This is how change actually happens. Together.

🛶 Limited spots (bring or rent your vessel)
🏆 Rewards, surprises, and good vibes
🌎 Join a global movement

Let’s take action where it flows. One paddle, one piece at a time.
Let’s go #plasticfishing 🎣
