Historic Virginia Key Beach Park - Invasive Species Removal & Trail Maintenance (21+)
Citizens for a Better South Florida is collaborating on a brand-sponsored event on Virginia Key Beach. We will be removing a few invasive plant species and conducting trail maintenance.
During the volunteer effort, the UEFA Champions League match between Arsenal and Atlético Madrid will be broadcast. There will be a DJ and non-alcoholic beverages served during an afterparty. Volunteers will be welcome to remain in the park until closing at 7pm.
Admission to the park is waived with mention of this event. All trail maintenance supplies will be available. We encourage you to bring a refillable water bottle but refreshments will be available for volunteers. Dress appropriate for trail work; closed-toe shoes, pants and long-sleeve shirt are preferable along with a hat. Sunscreen and insect repellant will be available. Changes of clothes if you want to jump in the ocean after the work effort.
