Haulover Park Coastal Cleanup 2nd Saturday

On the second Saturday of every month 10:30am-12:30pm (2026 Dates: 1/10, 2/14, 3/14, 5/9, 6/13, 7/11, 8/8, 9/12, 10/10, 11/14, 12/12), volunteers can assist the Haulover Park staff and beautify this coastal park to keep our ocean ecosystem healthy. Volunteers will also get an opportunity to learn about their impact on local wildlife.

This volunteer opportunity is made possible with the support of our community partner, JQ Foundation. JQ Foundation is a non-profit organization led by a group of young adults that focuses on sustainability and the environment. Their goal is to teach the next generation about the importance of taking care of the environment. Through community empowerment and education, they aim to protect the planet of tomorrow!

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Removing microplastics and trash
- Additional tasks as needed

Qualifications: Youth under 15 must have a parent/guardian present.

Commitment Expected: Please arrive at your scheduled start time and check-in with Sea Turtle staff. Please bring a refillable water bottle, closed-toed shoes, and protection from the sun (sunscreen, hats, sunglasses). If you have your own gloves, we recommend bringing them. Community service hours letters will be emailed, by request, following the event.
