DISCOVERY Vessel Snorkel Cleanup

SeaKeepers will be partnering with DISCOVERY Vessel Satori for a snorkel cleanup at Nixon Beach Sandbar on Thursday, May 28, 2026! If you are interested in joining us, please explore the details below:

When: Thursday, May 28, 9 AM ~ 12 PM

Where: Boat departs from Crandon Park Marina, Key Biscayne, FL to travel to Nixon Beach Sandbar

Requirements: Must be a strong swimmer with experience snorkeling. Must be comfortable removing debris while swimming. Volunteers with their own mask, fins, snorkel preferred, but gear can be provided if necessary.

Waiver: All volunteers must complete the MANDATORY Liability and Appearance Release Waiver HERE to participate in the cleanup.

Volunteers should bring:

  • Bathing suit, rashguard for sun protection
  • REEF SAFE Sunscreen (NO oxybenzone, octinoxate, homosalate, octisalate, octocrylene, avobenzone, parabens)
  • Mask, fins and snorkel if you have your own!
  • Water in a reusable bottle
  • Towel
  • Hat and sunglasses
  • Change of clothes

We will provide: 

  • Mesh bags for trash collection
  • Gloves
  • Water refills
  • Community service hours
  • Mask, fins and snorkel if needed

Due to limited vessel capacity, there are only 8 spots available for this outing! Please do not RSVP unless you meet requirements and are 100% sure you can attend. Volunteers who RSVP will receive an email from lillian@seakeepers.org to confirm their eligibility to attend.
