Biscayne National Park ICC2026
Join us for the 41st International Coastal Cleanup — the world's largest one-day volunteer effort for our oceans and waterways! Show your commitment to reducing marine debris alongside millions of volunteers across the globe. Miami-Dade’s participation, organized by VolunteerCleanup.org and Clean Miami-Dade, features 65+ cleanups all over the county with 4,000 volunteers.
The Miami-Dade ICC is made possible by the generous support of our strategic level sponsors Ocaquatics, City of Miami Commissioner Damian Pardo, and Terra Group, with additional support from Climate First Bank, City of Miami Mayor Eileen Higgins, and PADL.
Registration is required to participate in the cleanup. Online waivers, also required, will be emailed to you immediately after registering. Community service hours are also provided. NOTE: Each *individual* participant must be age 18 and over-no minors will be permitted to participate.
Meet time is at 8:00am, Saturday, September 19th at the Dante Fascell Visitor Center at Biscayne National Park. The address is:

What we will be doing:
We will boat across Biscayne Bay (~45 minutes) to the oceanside of Elliott Key. Will anchor in waist-deep water and wade onto the beach. We will perform marine debris removal. You must be comfortable with wading in knee-deep water on soft, mucky bottom. Once done, we will take photos and load the boat. We will weigh and dispose of our debris upon our return to Headquarters. Site selection will depend upon weather & water conditions.
We will provide:
Life jackets, data sheets, trash bags, bug spray, sunscreen, first-aid kit, gloves for hand protection (however, these are a one-size-fits-all deal, so if you have your own that you prefer, like garden or work gloves, please feel free to bring those), trash grabbers, your own trash collection buckets if you so desire.
Please bring:
Close-toed shoes that can get wet are mandatory-this is a safety requirement (dive booties are recommended), bathing suit, clothing that can get wet. Hat, sunglasses, water jugs and water bottles (bring already full if possible), snacks if you want.
